      Not made this yet but reading through pattern instructions and options it looks just what I’m looking for to please my older granddaughter

      I absolutely love this pattern and have made the dress 3 times in differing versions, so many variations. It really makes up into a very special dress. Be aware if doing the dropped yoke version the blocking instruction are for the high yoke so measure with your little side panels and it will be fine. I also found that when attaching the sides to the smocked panels I got a better finish by doing a normal seam then doing a 'fake' french seam from the inside. The smocking design is lovely too although I'm doing one of the dresses with another Ellen Mc Care design at the minute having made the dress up first. Highly recommend this pattern. It is on good quality paper and you could cut out as each size separate but I prefer to trace and keep the master pattern nice. I love the sweetheart neckline variation. I could go on and on!
