Ideal for white fabrics or heavily patterned fabrics
Did you know, once you cut off the number of rows you need, you can pin the dots to your fabric and pick up each dot through the tissue then tear away the tissue once you have picked up all the rows.
Don’t forget to put a knot on the end of the thread, so you don’t pull it out as you go.

Smocking Dot Transfers
I haven't yet used these dots as they are for a future project. Had I needed them straight away I would like to say that they arrived safely within days. Thankyou.

Exactly what I needed
I have not smocked for several years and was not sure if this product would deliver as I have not used the brand before. It has worked well and apart from a mistake by me Ironing from the wrong side it has turned out very well

smocking dots
Very easy to use

reliable standby and adaptable
Although I have a pleater I still find uses for dots. I find it fiddly to manoeuvre fabric for a bishop yoke for example so being able to cut and spread dots is a practical solution. I also use them if only the centre of a garment part is to be smocked. I have not had the patience to fiddle the needles into the material at the smocking start point and once pleated it's almost impossible to remove on either side even with a steam iron if I pleat the whole width and then remove the threads to just leave the centre part pleated.
