      One of my first smocking patterns. I have been able to make really beautiful clothes. Helpful instructions. Christine, Thank you for very good advice in the beginning.

      Terrible directions

      I have been sewing clothes for 40+ years and found the pattern directions difficult to follow. Some pieces were not shown on the cutting layout, and parts of the instructions regarding the sleeves completely missing. I am sorry you were disappointed with this pattern. I see that the pattern does not show the collars on the cutting layout and can only assume this is because they can also be cut from a contrasting fabric and the instruction just say to cut them following the arrow and the grain of the fabric. I could not find any missing instructions for the sleeves but there are several versions and it is best to read all the instructions before making up. Christine
